Please help us re-elect Judge Camille Buras, a dedicated jurist who has committed her professional career to advancing criminal justice improvements in Orleans Criminal District Court while still running a fair and efficient docket. Among her many achievements, she is most proud of presiding over hundreds of jury trials and thousands of criminal cases with the many hard-working Assistant District Attorneys, Assistant Attorney Generals and Public Defenders who have practiced in her Section of Court. She was the first female Chief Judge in the Court and has worked tirelessly with other criminal justice agencies on the challenging issues facing our system.
